My final project assignment for "Illustrated Poster" taken at SAIC in Fall 2025. This course was taught by Dijana Granov. This year, the movies to choose from were "Sinners," "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once," and "Across the Spiderverse," the last of which being what I chose.
Critique notes:
- Reference Miguel tearing open the go-home machine
- Love the way Miles looks
- For this movie, having all the characters be maroon doesn’t really make sense since it's so colorful
- It would be really cool to see the tearing open be a reference to the go-home machine
- Then the colors for the background characters could be what Miles sees through the machine
- Hobie's face is great, Miguel is good but make him angrier
- I asked about the placement of Miguel and they said it was fine
- Hobie needs his hairline, I accidentally made him bald
- Dijana's notes:
- My colors just need to be brighter
- Don't be afraid of going bright
- Right now the red is very similar to Miles’ skin
- Wouldn't mind seeing little hints of color in the background
- Especially in Miguel and Gwen
- Would love to see a pop of pink in Gwen
- Miles looks a little young. It looks like Miles but 5 years younger
- I gave him rounder, bigger eyes and squished his features a bit
- Bring back those edges, angles, and his hairline. His hair is too fluffy and rounded
- Just make those colors brighter and give more contrast
